The compliance spine — a bound book you can bet your license on
Nobody — including us — can silently alter your book.
Every recorded entry is fingerprinted together with the fingerprint of the entry before it, so the whole book forms one continuous chain. Change anything after the fact and the chain breaks — visibly, provably. Corrections happen the way ATF expects: a new line, in the open.
One function re-computes every fingerprint and confirms the book is intact — run it any morning, or the morning of an inspection.
